Viareggio, Italy July 25, 2013 – Italian Designer Horacio Bozzo unveils his latest project Discovery 88. This third successful cooperation with Kingship shipyard is an 88 feet - 26.7 meter - motoryacht with a load line length under 24m.
The new Discovery 88 is a Crossover concept combining elegant lines with a fully expedition capability.
This 26.7 meter yacht with an impressive beam of 8 meters is more spacious than any other one of her size. She is able to accommodate up to 10 guests in ultimate comfort whilst offering an abundance of space in the exterior. The lower deck includes a full-beam master cabin of 24 square meters, a full beam VIP cabin of 18 square meters and two spacious double cabins including Pullman beds.
Remarkable is the 50 square meter’s flybridge with a table seating 10 guests, an open bar and a spacious lounge area. The crew quarters are located forward on the lower deck with a dedicated access through the wheel house to maintain maximum privacy for the Owners and Guests.
This steel and aluminium displacement motoryacht is powered by two Caterpillar C12’s engines each capable of delivering 290 kW @ 1800 rpm. She can achieve a top speed of 11.5 knots with a range of 3500nm. The classification adopted for this yacht is RINA – CE, Category A - Unrestricted service.
The naval architecture and engineering of Discovery 88 is being developed by Axis Group acht Design.
A scale model will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show next September 2013.
